Course Duration: 4 Days. 3 Days from October 1st 2009.
This course addresses the need for competent First Aiders in the workplace who may act at the scene of an accident to deal with injuries or save lives.
Upon successful completion of this course candidates will be awarded with a FAW certificate valid for 3 years

HSE Refresher First Aid at Work Course (RFAW)
Course Duration 2 Days.
Candidates attending this course must be in possession of a current FAW Certificate. Upon successful completion of this course candidates will be awarded with a renewed FAW certificate valid for 3 years.

This course is ideal for companies requiring an Appointed Person status (Emergency First Aider at Work), in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations. The course includes both theory and practical sessions. There is no formal final assessment. Students are issued with a certificate that is valid for 3 years

The HSE strongly recommends that students attend a refresher session once every year during this three year period.
This course is for people holding a current First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work certificate.
The refresher course provides students with an opportunity to practise and update their skills at any time during your three year period as a qualified first aider.
Sessions build on your expertise and confidence by involving you in realistic situations with simulated casualties. Candidates will practise First Aid in practical, hands-on scenario sessions.

This course is in line with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Preschool Learning Alliance, The National Child Minding Association and meets the needs of Ofsted. It is suitable for Childminders, Nursery and School staff (dealing with Foundation Stage) and anybody who deals with children and wants a more in-depth course and includes both theory and practical sessions.

Advisory Defibrillation
Course Duration 3 hours
Automated External Defibrillation (AED) is well established as the only effective therapy for cardiac arrest.
We offer a comprehensive Automated External Defibrillation (AED) programme based on the necessary theory, backed up with lots of practical sessions. The course is run over half a day, and is made as informative, yet as enjoyable as possible, thus allowing the students to gain confidence.
Upon successful completion of this course candidates will be awarded a certification valid for 1 year.

This training normally takes place over three/four hours and includes the necessary theory followed by lots of “hands-on” practise to build confidence.
Courses can be adapted to suit a variety of audiences, from the complete novice to those who are skilled but feel their skills need updating.
Audiences range from first aiders through to dentists, nurses and other healthcare professionals.

This course is designed for those people who, as part of their jobs, have to deal with the administering of medication and recording information together with the disposal of medication.
Upon completion of this course candidates will be awarded a certificate valid for 1 year.

This Train the Trainer course is designed to improve training techniques and increase confidence when delivering presentations.
Delegates on this course are asked to prepare and bring a 5 minute training session to the first day of the course. The topic can be any of your choosing (e.g. How to Prepare and cook a carrot’!). This session is an important part of the course as it gives you something personal to work with during the two days, and everyone will be asked to present their session to the rest of the group.
